Doing it with style

Another CSS slide show COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Hi Stu,

Nothing to add here apart from "Keep up the good work"! This may sound sickening (get the sick bag ready) but your work is a constant source of inspiration and continues to push the boundaries of what's possible with CSS.

Well done matey :o)

Hi Stu,
I am the web designer at Virginia Military Institute and I would like to possibly use your slideshow on the index page of a redesign of their current site. Is that possible? By the way, fantastic work. Very inspiring.

I'm still trying to do this thing :(
It's easy for Opera but to mke it cross browser compatible is tough.

But I must say I learned more about CSS while trying to figure it out then by using my knowladge from school... actualy we had little to do with web stuff :/

hi there Stu. I have three questions for ya. First, I manipulated the X4 screen to be the same as the large preview. This worked but it threw the image preview out of whack. When I scroll to the right, over the thumbnails, the large image appears right as my cursor scrolls over the next image. However, when I scroll to the left, the image won't pop up until I get about 20 pixels beyond it. Do you have any suggestions to correct this.

My next question is if there is anyway to get it so that it goes from hovering over the image to get it to preview, to where the viewer has to click on the image.

And finally, do you know why in firefox the images randomly do not appear.

I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to solve these three questions myself so if you could answer any or all of them I would be extremely greatful. Thanks, yet another fan, Adam.

Hi Stu,

An excellent site all-round. If I am ever looking for anything CSS-related, your site is the first stop every time. Thanks for being so generous and constantly sharing your work.

A question concerning this gallery - is it possible to somehow incorporate an opening image instead of a blank screen - and not necessarily with the thumbnail and step 2 image?

Thanks again for your inspiration.
