Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Hi Stu,

Complete newbie to forums and much in need of you well informed advice.
I think you offer some excellent solutions to non-js based menu systems and I am keen to use something like your Showup or Push Menu for a current project.

I wish to use this on desktop set-ups and iPhone. I would prefer the menu to have a click option (for touch screens) on the first level as well as a hover for the mouse enabled. My question therefore is, is this possible.

The following is an observation not a criticism, and likely a bug with the version of FF I use (3.5.9) on Mac Pro. I click on the first level items (to see if the menu would be okay with iPhone), but when I move the pointer to the second level menu that appears, its position is 20px or so above its intended position, is there a fix for this?. All seems fine in Safari 4.0.2 on the same platform.

The site cannot offer a back link to your site due to company policy but pleased to back-link on my future blog and include your commentary in the css and of course make a suitable donation (please advise what you feel is a fair amount).

Appreciate any advice on this Stu.

Stu:-
A click to keep the sub line open is not recommended as this does cause problems in some browsers. It may be pssible to get around this using :active:hover styling.
