Drop down definition list four COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

A Definition List drop-down menu 4 above FORM elements -
Perfect for NN8, Firefox 1.5,
Fails for IE6

Your site is the best source of CSS knowledge.
Thanks a lot!

G. Wolfgang (Multiflex-3):-
Stu, I have implemented your "web-ready drop-down menu#2 (May 30, 2006 version)" in my Multiflex-3 template (currently #1 download at at www.openwebdesign.org, check the credits to Stu Nichols in the template page). However, Konqueror 3.4, Mozilla 1.7 and Netscape 8.1 make the drop-down go horizontal. All other browsers work fine. Now I discovered your newest definition list drop-down navigations, and find them more elegant solutions, but they all use fixed widths for the main items. Is there a way to make this DL-dropdown have variable widths for the main items? How about Konqueror, Mozilla, Netscape for these?

Stu:-
I think that your best bet is to use the menu here
www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/final_drop5.html
which will work with IE5.5, IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera and I believe Safari,
Netscape 8.1, Mozilla 1.7.

The DL drop-downs can be made with variable widths but do not work on IE5.x
I am currently working on CSSplay site redesign, but once this is complete I will look into a variable width DL menu.

G. Wolfgang:-
Thanks for your quick reply. Once you have the variable width DL-dropdown ready, I will implement in into my template. It will be exciting to see what you come up with. IE.5.x is not of concern to me.

G. Wolfgang:-
Stu, just to give me an idea of the rough timeframe, when do you estimate this time to be, when you can explore variable-width DL drop-down menus?

P.S. Thanks for your great site!

Stu:-
Sometime within the next couple of weeks. The site redesign is taking up most of my time at the moment but I will see what I can do.

Gerard:-
Stu, thanks for a very informative site!

I've been exprimenting with this menu - and all is fine. However I would like my next element on the page to be relatively close to the menu - at the moment it is some 80-100px below the menu and I can't get it any closer. Any ideas?
