Float fix COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}

I'm using Internet Explorer:mac 5.2 and the 'fixed' version has the text pushed far right, making it much longer then the container, and gives it a short line length. Just FYI

I'm using the public beta of IE7, and I'm pleased to say that I can't see any difference between the two images.
Hopefully, this means that CSS in IE7 will be far more useable :)

I've tried using the INTERNET EXPLORER 3px FLOAT FIX and it seems to work but the css doesn't validate. The error it comes up with is "Invalid number : display inline-block is not a display value : inline-block "

Jeanie, display-inline is a valid style (css2.1) but the validation only covers up to css2.

Thanks Stu, that's great. I need to prove that the site meets WAI guidelines so as long as I know why it doesn't validate I'll keep using it. BTW I think the site is great and it's helped me out a lot.

I don't follow this page. Where's the html/css that produces the error and the one that fixes it? Am I supposed to look at the source?
