ImageMap Revisited COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Alastair Breingan:-
Stu,
Thanks for all your great demos.

I tried some years back to make an earlier version of our image map work on a liquid layout site (admittedly a bit of a twisted thing to do) and failed miserably. This version looks similar enough that I suspect it will also not fly. Is there a fundamental reason for this or is it just very complex?

Stu:-
It should be possible to use this method with em sizing so that the map shrinks to fit the page width.

Alastair Breingan:-
Sorry to be thick Stu, but I can't find a way to have em sized divs scale with the page size.

I note I wasnât quite clear above and wonder if you thought I was trying to scale with text size.

Bottom line I donât think it is possible to produce an image map that scales with browser size.
