Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Yesterday, I wrote a comment about 'Any width dropdown left/right v2 » 20-05-2009'. The comment subsequently disappeared.

I observed that there is a problem when using IE 6 (in my case v6.0.2800.1106 SP1). Hover on 'First Day Covers', 'Special Offers' and 'Stock Books' under 'Stamp Collection' does not extend full width to the right. This can be corrected by removing the top margin of -1px from #menu table but then sub-menu height is affected. This is not that noticeable with the demo. If the first item of a sub-menu has a sub-menu with the same number of items as its predecessor, then the height difference is very noticeable.

I posed the question as to whether there is a simple solution for this. I think the answer is that there is not a simple solution. However, I did finally fix the alignment by re-writing the styling from the beginning with different table positioning.

Andrei:-
Hello,

stamp-collecting.html menu is not working properly on IE6.

If you go to second link "Stamp Collection" and go over second submenu with submenus "Special Orders" then you will see you cannot go on their submenu.

Can you come with a solution to this ?
With position:relative to the submenu li a:hover and submenu li:hover, will go on and crash the position of the submenus.

I'm waiting for a fix from this.

Kind regards,
Andrei
