Thanks for the nifty trick. I tried just cutting and pasting the menu code into an html file (and put the <style> section into a css file), but for some reason I get different looking results (EXACT same HTML and CSS code). #1 I don't get a "current" tabs highlight for "Menu" and I don't see where it would be in the code. #2 There is no bottom border on any of the tabs. Don't see where it is any of your code either. What am I missing? Thanks!

Hahn, you will need the image files as well. The file names are in the stylesheet.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also got the image files. I just don't have a 'current' tab highlighted and I don't have a bottom border to any of the tabs.

Hahn, the 'current' tab is selected by the page body tag, in the demonstration this is <body id="menus">. The bottom line is part of the bg.gif image. Check that you have a standards compliant doctype.

the rollovers dont work in ie6...

i even just viewed the cssplay page with the example in it in ie and it didnt work - i think its the li:hover that is the problem but i cant seem to fix it :(
