Woah, how'd you get rounded corners without images? I'm trying to find it in the source, but so far I've come up empty... procyon@gamebox.net, please

echoback, rounded corners AND borders ;o) There are several examples on my site. Check out >boxes>snazzy corners and krazy korners. There will also be a tutorial soon.

John:-
Stu, is there any way to get the tabs to adjust to the text or is the fixed width an absolute requirement?
Cheers
(18.05.2005, 12:03)

Stu:-
John, you must specify a width, but this can be different for each tab. The width can be in ems or px (or you can specify a width for each li).

John:-
Thanks Stu.

Ken:-
Stu, is it possible to have the menu flipped horizontally, like the first Snazzy Menu One? Thanks.
(25.05.2005, 16:39)

Stu:-
Ken, will work on this soon. It should be possible without changing the CSS too much.

Stu, just to let you know that, although the links work on Mac IE 5.2, the tabs don't resize when moused over (maybe that's what you meant by "static image"...if so sorry. Keep up the good work! I always like seeing your additions...you really are an inspiration!
(28.05.2005, 15:21)

Stu:-
todd, that is what I meant by 'static' but I had only tested in IE5.01 on Windows PC. Thanks for the info on IE5.2 Mac.

Hi Stu,
this tab menus great :) im fairly new to css and would like to add a sub-list to certain tabs - would this be possible?
cheers ; )
(26.06.2005, 19:57)

Stu:-
Ciara, it would be possible in Firefox, Opera etc, but not in IE which would need nested links.
(26.06.2005, 21:34)

ciara:-
ahh..ie again :( thanks stu!

Thank you stu, this is very nice.
How can i make the menu link to stay up while the person is visiting that page?
(14.07.2005, 19:52)

Nick:-
There are 1 or 2 pixels of gray that show up beneath the "tab up" version. For the life of me I can't get rid of it. Any ideas? Thanks!
(26.07.2005, 02:06)

Nick:-
Finally found it. Simply change height of navigation2 to 2.8em. Voila!

Senghia:-
Two things that this example really needs.. a method for getting the clicked tab to stay in the up position once it is clicked; and a method for changing the hover color. I'd like it so when I click a tab it loads the target page and opn the target page the tab is in the up position and a different color. This probably requires javascript..? Little help here please.

Stu:-
For the several poeple who have asked, I have now added the styling for a change of color on hover and an active state tab on the upper menu. I will leave the lower one as is, but the changes will be on similar lines.

John:-
Hey stu, I'm just browsing through some of your menus here, and I found a typo you might want to fix with this one ;)
under "1st Feb 2006" you have hoe instead of how.
anyways, take care.

very nice work... I've tried in vain for two hours trying to get active state to work on the tab up menu... can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Cass:-
I love this menu - but... I want it left aligned (entire div). I've tried everything, but it just won't work...

Any suggestion?

Cheryl:-
Love the snazzy menu 2 (tab up) - is there a way to combine it with a drop down menu of some kind (basic or ultimate).

Thanks for all the work you've done.

yorkie:-
Like John I was curious about how to set different widths of the tabs (or even better if they could resize automatically)?

where in the css should we specify the width?
Thanx! i know this is one year old but i hope someone may reply!!!
(14.08.2006, 01:44)

Funn:-
Dear Stu,

Like Yorkie and John, I am wondering how to change the width of the tabs, either the tabs automatically adjusting itself to the length of the text or I specify it. You mentioned specifying the width in the <li> but I tried and it is still the same. Could you please give an example how to fix this problem?

Much help is appreciated.
(08.04.2007, 12:55)

Stu:-
Funn, it is possible to change the width of the tabs which is styled in the link:
a.menu, a.menu:visited {display:block; text-decoration:none; width:5.5em;}
Chnage the 5.5em to whatever you like.
It is not possible to have the tabs automatically adjust to fit the text.

Funn:-
Thanks Stu!
