UL flyout COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Fritz Weisshart:-
Hi Stu,

very well done. The best flyout menu I've seen so far, from the accessibility standpoint.

I'm missing just one detail:

As Jakob Nielsen states in www.useit.com/homepageusability/guidelines.html
"Don't include an active link to the homepage on the homepage."

Couldn't get your CSS to work for list items without link.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Stu:-
The whole of this system is based on links with :hover/:active/:focus so there MUST be links in every list item.

Noticed potentially unwanted menu permanence when using Firefox 3.6.13 on URL: www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/ul-flyout.html#url

If user clicks on link from first level, a flyout occurs that does not go away. Mousing over other first level items causes their flyouts to superimpose. Clicking off menu resets its state and the problem goes away. To verify, left click on Outlets, then mouseover Equipment and Home. You will see the superimposition.

Still a great look. Very impressive. Menu removal has that small issue.

How can I keep the 3 first levels highlighted when mouse :hover the 4th level menu? I'm searching for it since many days now... hehe... So... waiting for your reply soon! :D
