tabbed pages v2 COMMENTS

Welcome to my Comments Pages

Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

So if I do not reply, please do not be offended, and if I do reply then you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are asking for permission to use any of my demonstration then please email me with your request stu{at}cssplay.co.uk.

Aerith:-
The only thing I don't like about this is how the tabs revert when you're not hovering the div. Any way to make the active user-selected tab stay visible even when you're not on it?

I am with Aerith - how do you keep the "selected" tab displayed when you mouse off it?

similarly you cant print other other non-selected tabs.

Thanks

Stu:-
To keep a hovered tab open when you mouse off you would need to use javascript.
(See stunicholls.com for this version)
To print the non selected tabs information you will need to have a print stylesheet which will set all tabs to visible before printing.

George:-
If there is a dropdown listbox in a not-selected page, when you drop it down and move mouse over the dropped then the "selected" page is displayed.

Stu:-
This is because the list box uses mouse hover and clicks to select from the list and as such the hover over the dropdown 'page' is lost and so it closes.
This is one of the downsides of this method.
