This is of course possible using fixed size divs with absolute position and negative margins, but this also means that as the window is resized the text can disappear off the left and top of the screen.
Wouldn't it be nice if you could have vertically aligned text in a similar way to table cells that stop at the left and top of the screen and add scroll bars as required.
Well I have found an answer using IE6, but at the moment it does not work in Mozilla, Opera or Netscape (but may in the future).
