Information
Recently I was prompted to take a look at a couple of Zen Garden entries by Tony Forsey. Web site information.
Now I hadn't seen this effect on web pages before and had a quick burst of ideas as to how this could be put to further effect.
The above examples are the outcome of my imagination, but they are all as a result of the original idea by Tony who was first to discover the possibilities.
All these ideas use a single 'fixed' static background image (no animated gifs) with a mask overlay which moves up and down with the scroll bar.
These are just for fun (escapism from the more mundane css tasks), so I hope that you enjoy them but not take them too seriously.
You may need to use the scrollbar rather than the mousewheel to see the effect. This depends on your browser and your mousewheel default scroll settings.
