I have been trying to get this demo to work in IE10 for the past week, but because this browser does not support 'preserve-3d' it has proven too difficult.
So I am throwing this open to everyone to come up with a solution that works in IE10.

Cracked it! - the demo is now working in IE10. Also now working in Safari and the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. I just had to find a way to apply multiple transforms on the same element and have it use multiple transform-origins.
