Information
Whilst on the web a few weeks ago I came across a jQuery/CSS gallery SHINE TIME by Addy Osmani and thought that it would be nice if this was all possible using just CSS.
Now, with the newly found method of using :target without the initial jump to the top of the browser window, it is possible.
So this demonstrations is my take on the 'SHINE TIME' demo but without using jQuery/javascript and to go further, the only images used in this demo are for the thumbnails and the large images. The frame, borders, shines, shadows, fonts, gradient fills, are all done with just CSS, and the 'Disney' font uses @font-face so is all just text.
The animation is seen in Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera. IE9 will see an instant change in the large image and an instant caption when hovering the large image. Hopefully IE10 with support transitions.
