Just CSS, no scripting language.

A slideshow with auto run, pause, image selection using thumbnails and left/right arrows and captions for each image

I have moved the left, right, play, pause and captions off the images so that they do not cover areas of the image and allow the slideshow to be viewed on mobiles without having the images covered by these items.

I have also used css variables for browsers that understand (all except Edge at the moment) so that the controls and captions can change color by just updating one style #sn_slide_outer {--sn_color:#c60;}

These photos were taken at the beginning of this month whilst on holiday in Lanzarote.
