Doing it with style
Back to the simple stuff.
This is a simple method of adding interest to a map of the British Isles & Ireland.
Hover the mouse over the black squares to see a pop-up information box about the particular place of interest. The pop-up box is styled to look as though an arrow is pointing from the place of interest to the photograph and descriptive text.
This works in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera etc.
Hacks have been added to make it work in IE5.5 for people browsing using the standalone version. Strictly speaking IE5.5 should have it's own CSS loaded using a conditional comment.
Because of all the time and effort spent in producing this demonstration I would ask that you respect my copyright.
