Information
The first attempt at an answer to a problem posed by Mark from Ireland.
A method of producing a 'more' feature, whereby a snippet of text is shown to visitors and to read the full article they have to click on the more » link.
This method hides the extra text in an em tag and displays the 'more »' link in a visible span tag. When the link is clicked the span tag is hidden and the em tag is made visible.
Because Internet Explorer insists on putting the dotted line around the clicked link I have added a small amount of javascript to remove it again :o(.
The mousewheel scroll works in IE and the scroll bars work in FF, however Opera does not keep the text on screen when the mouse button is released (a feature of Opera).

You may use this method on your personal 'non-profit' web site without seeking my permission. A link back to CSSplay is always appreciated.
Commercial usage is also permitted without seeking approval, but I would ask that a donation is considered to support my work on CSSPlay.
If you are having problems integrating any of my demonstrations into your website then I now offer a service to fault find and correct any errors that you may have introduced. Please email me for more information.
