Information

For no other reason than to show that drop shadows and gradient fills are also available to Internet Explorer browsers as far back as IE5 although they do not use CSS3 styling. The above demo is almost identical to Firefox, Safari and Chrome when viewed in Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8.

It makes use of Microsoft 'Filters' which have been around for years but very seldom used, and does require additional markup to get to work.

But to get CSS3 styling in Internet Explorer we will need to wait until IE9 is released.
