CSS play - Vertical slide concertina menu suitable for Touch Screens

8th April 2013

For IE7+, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, IE10 Touch Screen and Android OS Touch Screen

copyright © stu nicholls - CSS play

A concertina slide down menu that works on touch screen devices including the iPad, IE10 and Android OS browsers.

As with the previous five demos this one also uses top level 'parent' links that are used to open sub menus and also take you to other linked pages.

On the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, IE10 touch screen and Android OS touch screen browsers just tap the top level 'parent link' to slide down the sub menu, the parent link then becomes underlined to show that it is a link. Tapping this 'parent link' again will take you to the link page.

All other non touch screen browsers will work in the normal way when hovering the links.

There is animation, slide up/down on the sub menus, gradient fills for those browsers that support these styles.
