Information

If anyone had asked me if this were possible a week ago I would have said 'no, you will need to use javascript to override any current page settings on page entry'. But having thought about this some more over the last couple of days I have come up with this CSS only method of overriding 'current page' styling on page entry.

When this page opens, the menu shows the current top level selection of 'Services' and the current page highlighted as 'Printing'. However as soon as you hover over any other top level list item the current 'Services' sub menu closes and and the graphics for 'Services' reset to plain black.

If you hover over any of the other links in the 'Services' sub menu then the 'Printing' highlight is reset and moves to the link being hovered.

All this is acheived without the use of javascript in any shape or form and works in all the latest browsers.

This has been tested in IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Opera, Safari(PC) and Google Chrome.

If you want a zip file of this menu then email me, but please first read the copyright requirements and terms of use below.
