A CSS only fly-out/drop-down menu

6th April 2006

That also works in IE without javascript

Updated 8th January 2007

Information

Ok, you asked for it so you've got it. A fly-out / drop-down menu

Based on my previous example this one has the extra drop-down sub level.

This works in IE6, Firefox, Opera, Netscape 8 and hopefully a few Mac browsers as well.

7th January 2007

Updated to bring into line with my most recent menus.

The two separate stylesheets have been combined and simplified. The stylesheet can now be found in the head of the source code. The xhtml has also been simplified to get rid of the need for a duplication of top level links for IE5/IE6 browsers. Special CSS play conditional comments have been used instead.

Copyright

Because of all the time and effort spent in producing this demonstration I would ask that you respect my copyright.

3. If you are having problems integrating any of my demonstrations into your website then I now offer a service to fault find and correct any errors that you may have introduced. Please email me for more information.
