Flyout List Menu - suitable for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
19th March 2011
For IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, Flock, SeaMonkey, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
copyright © stu nicholls - CSS play
Information
The previous menu has one limitation in that the top level list items which have flyouts could not also be links to other pages. This appears to be due to the use of CSS3 animation in the sub menus. So this menu overcomes the problem and can have all the top level items as links.
For iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch the first tap will open the flyout lists and another tap on the same top level item will take you to the link page. There will also be a close icon appear at the top right of the flyout lists that can be tapped to lcose the currently open list.
Tested and working in IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, Flock, SeaMonkey, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
