Information

This is a more robust version of this menu system, and in all browsers except IE5.5 and IE6 has the breadcrumb trail throught the menu highlighted on hover using just one extra line in the stylesheet.

As with all these menus, tabbing works in all browsers that accept tabbing.

Tested and working in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox, Opera, Safari(PC) and Google Chrome. Should also work in all Mac browsers.

In contrast to the previous menu, this menu does not make any requirements for the previous page content to be on a higher z-index and as the top level list items are self contained within their own <ul class="nav"> so the widths of these links can be easily varied.

I am still looking for a better fix for the Opera bug as '.nav ul:hover {clear:left;}' can cause problems in IE7. The Opera bug is that it leaves random partial background color when hovering through these menus. The closest to another solution is to use '.nav li:hover {background:transparent;}' which cures 90% of the problem.
